The first Reflection Evening, introduced by Barry McGonagle, focused on the Offertory, where we reflected on what we bring to Mass as our offerings to God. From the photos, you can see the projected image of the Supper at Emmaus, below which, is an abundance of Harvest Gifts. Two trees were placed on the Altar, with words hanging from the branches. One tree included the words, ‘worry, grief, relationship difficulties’, and represented something of what we bring with us to Mass. The second tree represented the gifts we receive from God at Mass, and bore words such as, ‘love, peace and joy’. The Guest Speaker was Mrs Bridie Hamdam, who shared with us her inspirational account of how she offers her life to God.
